In March 2018 at the IVVN inaugural meeting in Nairobi, the IVVN announced a second call for pump-priming projects from collaborative teams of IVVN members which aim to address a key bottleneck preventing the development of vaccines for livestock diseases of importance in LMICs.
After external and internal review, we are delighted to announce that the second round of pump-priming grants have been awarded, and the four funded projects are:
1) Rethinking ‘impossible’: creating a platform for developing novel vaccines against animal trypanosomiasis in Brazil

2) Towards edible vaccines for chickens

3) Efficacy testing of novel immersion and oral vaccines for Aeromonas hydrophila in Tilapia and Vietnamese catfish
