I obtained my BSc in Biology and a MSc in Aquaculture from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB, Catalonia). Afterwards, I earned a PhD position at the University of Valencia (UV, Spain). My research was focused on a transcriptomic study of the host-pathogen relationship and its application to vaccine design using European eel (Anguilla anguilla) and Vibrio vulnificus Bt2 SerE as a model. After completition, I did my postdoctoral research at the Hellenic Center for Marine Research (Crete, Greece) in the AQUA-NANO project, focused on the study of the effects of silver and titanium nanoparticles on the aquatic communities.
In January 2015, I joined HIPRA Scientific, a pioneer company on animal health prevention. I am a researcher and project leader of the aquaculture department, my role is the development of vaccines intended for different fish species.
