My name is Challika Kaewborisuth, a researcher at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand. I am a graduate of Kasetsart University, where I received a bachelor degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M) and a Ph.D in the Interdisciplinary program in Genetic Engineering. During studying in a Ph.D. program, I had an opportunity to do research at the Department of infectious disease, St.Jude Children's research hospital, Memphis, USA, where I have experienced on influenza virus research in many aspects.
After graduation in 2016, I started my career as a postdoctoral researcher at the faculty of veterinary medicine and working on the development of FMDV infectious clone and bovine ephemeral fever virus-like particles. Since 2017, I have been working at BIOTEC where I am participating in the research group aiming to develop the vaccine against animal viruses such as porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV).
