Froilan Bernard Matias
Dr. Froilan Bernard R. Matias is a graduate of BS Animal Husbandry and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Central Luzon State University in Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Immediately after obtaining his profesional license in Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Matias worked in small animal clinics for 8 months. He then later on applied as an instructor in his alma mater where he taught different subjects such as veterinary anatomy, immunology and medicine. After 2 years, he pursued his graduate studies at Hunan Agricultural University, Changsha City, PRChina where he finished his Master's degree in Clinical Veterinary Medicine major in Immunity and Nutrition. After returning back to work in his alma mater, he was designated as the Chair of the Department of Animal Management, College of Veterinary Science and Medicine for 3 years. He also applied and given the chance to attend a 3-month International Diploma Animal Feeds under the Netherlads Fellowship Programme at PTC+, Barneveld, the Netherlands. He was previously involved in the research on antimicrobial resistance genes of common bacterial diseases in poultry and swine in Luzon, Philippines. Currently, he is the main proponent of 3 researches for funding and under review by the different agencies under the Department of Science and Technology.
