Sirjan Bastola
I am a Veterinarian from Nepal. I completed my undergraduate in Veterinary medicine from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in June, 2014 and later pursued a Masters in Medical Science (Microbiology and Preventive Medicine) from Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine in July, 2018. I am also doing Master in Veterinary Science (Medicine) at Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Nepal. I have sound understanding of epidemiological and immunological aspects of infectious diseases. I have good laboratory experience in molecular biology including cloning and expression of viral proteins. I have also laboratory experiences with culture and antibiogram of food-borne bacteria like Salmonella and E.coli. I have previously worked as a research officer for Himalayan Animal Rescue Trust (HART), Nepal to investigate the epidemiology of dog-bites and pattern of post-exposure anti-rabies vaccination in Chitwan and Kaski districts of Nepal.
