I am Reaserch Veterinarian working for Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute (OVI) in South Africa. I have been with OVI for about 2 year now. Prior to joining the Institute, I have worked as the field state veterinairan for 12 years and also as the Deputy Director for Disease Control at the National Government Veterinary Office for 2 years.

 I am the manager for Epidemiology, Parasites and Vectors Programme within the Institute. The key peformance areas of the programme:

provide diagnostic services for tick-borne and parasitic diseases. production of live blood-derived vaccines for tick-borne diseases of livestock. research on the new diagnostic and vaccine technologies for tick-borne and parasitic diseases. epidemiological studies on tick-borne and parasitic pathogens.
