Postdoctoral research scientist, T cell biology
Closing date: 18 October 2022
This fixed term two-year Postdoctoral Scientist position will be within the T-cell biology group at The Pirbright Institute, in a project funded by the NC3Rs. The project comprises the development and validation of in vitro models that are capable of recapitulating the response of B cells and T helper cells in lymph nodes of pigs following immunization. The successful candidate will:
- Optimize existing in vitro models by use of a microfluidics device
- Dissect the reactivity of cells in these models in detail, using cutting edge technology like full spectrum flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq)
- Validate the in vitro system by a direct comparison with in vivo reactivity
