IVVN Communications Officer

Full time, 35 hours per week
Fixed Term, 2 years, with possibility of extension.
We are looking for a Communications Officer to join the Network Management Team of the International Veterinary Vaccinology Network (IVVN). This is a valued and exciting role with the IVVN and the post holder will be pivotal in ensuring that IVVN communicate effectively with their members and other stakeholders including industry partners, funding bodies and other research networks.
The role will involve:
- Creating engaging content for IVVN’s website, monthly newsletters and social media channels including news articles, blog posts, infographics and videos.
- Developing an effective communications strategy for the Network and managing IVVN’s communication channels.
- Hosting online events including webinars and workshops and ensuring the technical aspects of the events run smoothly.
- Assisting with the delivery of in-person IVVN events, such as conferences and workshops.
- Curating IVVN’s members’ directory.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Proven experience in digital communications, including creating and managing content for websites, newsletters and social media channels (e.g. Twitter and LinkedIn).
- Experience of using web content management systems, email marketing platforms and graphic design software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good eye for detail and design and creative flair.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
