Fixed term: initial funding to December 2025, open to secondments
We are looking for a professional and proactive individual to help us advance the work of the Livestock Data for Decisions (LD4D) network. Do you have a background in developing, delivering and managing national or international projects or programmes? Are you motivated to help put evidence at the centre of decision making? You will help lead the LD4D network to collaborate on improving data and analytics for better decisions in livestock development initiatives.

Established in 2017, Livestock Data for Decisions (LD4D) is an international network of over 800 people who work with livestock data, focused on meeting the data needs of livestock decision makers in low-and middle-income countries. LD4D is facilitated by SEBI-Livestock, the Centre for Evidence Based Interventions on Livestock, with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).
The LD4D Development Manager is a new post. We are looking for a professional and proactive individual to help us drive the development of LD4D with the goal of sustaining a thriving, active and solutions-oriented network. The development manager will also investigate strategies to transition LD4D towards a financially sustainable model.
The post-holder will work closely with members of the SEBI-Livestock team and with the LD4D Steering Committee to execute the responsibilities of this post.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Significant professional experience in a relevant field (e.g. assisting with large scale national or international networks, international development, project management and programme coordination).
- Substantial experience in project management including planning, implementing and evaluating complex projects.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and diplomacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and/ or academic background in a related discipline (e.g. sustainable development, veterinary science, agriculture)
