Network Manager
Location: Easter Bush Campus, Roslin, EH25 9RG, GB (Hybrid working)

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31 March 2025, with likelihood of extension until 31 March 2028
Grade UE08: £45,585 to £54,395 per annum (A revised salary range for this grade of £48,350 to £59,421 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024)
Job Schedule: Full time, 35 hours per week
About the Role:
The International Veterinary Vaccinology Network (IVVN) is seeking a Network Manager to join their Network Management Team. The IVVN, based at The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, is a £4.5m initiative that coordinates and integrates UK and low- and-middle income country (LMIC) research expertise to overcome challenges associated with the development of livestock and zoonotic vaccines for LMIC-relevant diseases. Since launching in August 2017, the IVVN has welcomed over 2,000 members from 93 countries and the Network delivers a diverse programme of activities. The Network Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Network and delivering a range of different opportunities for the international veterinary vaccinology community.
The role will involve:
- Managing all aspects of the IVVN including networking activities, funding schemes, training awards, outreach activities and communication channels.
- Leading and mentoring a team, including IVVN’s Communications Officer and Events and Funding Officer.
- Coordinating IVVN’s collaborative vaccine research funding calls and overseeing the management of IVVN’s funded research projects.
- Planning international events, including in-person and online events.
- Building and maintaining relationships with University colleagues, IVVN members, funders and other stakeholders across many countries.
- Overseeing IVVN’s £4.5m budget, allocating resources and reporting on spend.
- Completing IVVN’s scientific reporting and measuring the impact of activities.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the Network and writing grant applications for further funding.
- Representing the Network as required.
