Adewole is a veterinarian, early career researcher, and passionate One Health advocate. He is pursuing a PhD at the Royal Veterinary College and focuses on improving leptospirosis diagnosis and molecular epidemiology. With a veterinary medicine background, Masters in Veterinary Clinical Pathology (MVSc), and Masters in Public Health (MPH), Adewole combines academic expertise with practical experience in small animal practice, research, and public health. He is interested in understanding the epidemiology, molecular, and immunologic basis of infectious diseases with translational application towards the development of diagnostic, prophylactic, and therapeutic approaches suited for developing countries' socioeconomic contexts. He is committed to developing accessible diagnostic tools and interventions for zoonotic and neglected tropical diseases in low- and medium-income countries. Adewole actively promotes veterinary participation in One Health and global health initiatives with a keen interest in public health, zoonosis and emerging disease emergency preparedness, control, and prevention.
