Nkemngo Francis is a Post-graduate student/ research associate at the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology, University of Buea, Cameroon. His major point of interest is focused on drug and vaccine biotechnology for global health where he is involved in classical reverse vaccinology to application of molecular biology tools and immunological techniques for preclinical studies in the development of drugs and potential vaccine candidates against tropical diseases, particularly Tuberculosis, malaria and NTDs (Cryptosporidiosis, Leishmaniasis, Onchocerciasis, Trypanosomiasis etc). His most recent work is centred on the computation of bioinformatic tools in the in silico design of immunogenic chimeric vaccine candidates against onchocerciasis and related filarial diseases.
He also has passion for epidemiology of tropical and infectious diseases towards improving the health status of rural communities as a platform for influencing health policies.
