Biography

In 2009 I obtained my BSc in Cell and Molecular Biology at Chouaib Doukkali University (Morocco) and graduated in 2011 with an MSc in Neuroscience and Pharmacology at Cadi Ayyad University (Morocco). Since 2012 I have been teaching at the University of Rwanda in the Department of Veterinary Medicine.  I am interested in identifying the molecular strains that are found in Rwanda, especially the Eastern portion of the country neighboring the Akagera National Park. This area has the highest number of cattle population and has been the origin of most of the outbreaks in Rwanda. When the strain circulating in Rwanda can be characterized, this will enable the concerned organizations to administrate (or manufacture) proper/matching vaccines and thus have a better control of the virus. Currently, I am working with EuFMD as a Short Term Professional on several projects in Africa.
