Biography

I have a broad background in immunology and am deeply interested in malaria. My current research focuses on population-based malaria immunology. I started my research in malaria in 2018 when I joined Research Professor Dr. Jetsumon Sattabongkot Prachumsri’s group at Mahidol Vivax Research Unit (MVRU) to work on the application of using serological markers to detect recent exposure of Plasmodium vivax infection in population at risk in endemic area of Western Thailand.  This work has led to identification of foci of residual transmission where asymptomatic infections are common and present a challenge to malaria elimination. During this time, I gained extensive knowledge and expertise to work in the field sites. I have learnt to work with local health facilities and malaria clinics where patients can be recruited into research project.
