I work at School of Fisheries, Zhejiang Ocean University, in the field of aquatic animal health, with an emphasis on bacterial pathogens affecting cultured fish species. Currently, I am responsible for the University’s Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory, focusing on the health of cultured fish and shellfish species in the region of Eastern China Sea. Recently, we are interested in developing vaccines against bacterial and viral pathogens for high-valued local fish species such large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea).
My primary research interests include discovering virulence factors in bacterial fish pathogens, investigating pathogenesis of relevant fish diseases and, developing live attenuated or inactivated vaccines and diagnostic tools.
