Jolieke
van Oosterwijk
Dr. van Oosterwijk received her BSc degree from the University College Utrecht in pre-med and medicinal chemistry, MSc degree in Molecular Medicine from the Charité Medical School in Berlin, and her PhD in Translational Science/Oncology from the Leiden University Medical Centre. After earning her PhD, she served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in pharmaceutical sciences and transitioned to the position of Research Associate at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in tumor cell biology. Currently, Jolieke van Oosterwijk is the Chief Science Officer at US BIOLOGIC, a Memphis based BioTech Company focused on the improvement of Global Health through oral vaccination strategies. She also holds the position of Adjunct Professor in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Memphis.
I am interested in improving global health and providing access to diseases prevention methods to everyone by removing common obstacles such as access to care, cold chain, and financial hurdles. Currently I am working on developing oral vaccination strategies for wild life, companion animals, and livestock.
