I am a DVM, graduated in 2002 in Turkey. My work since graduation has been focused in Epidemiology, Risk Assessment, Infectious Disease Modeling. After graduation, I worked for the public sector and University in Turkey, first as a field veterinarian in the Turkey dealing with animal disease surveillance, awareness and training; and later my research interests focus on emerging infectious diseases which threaten animal health. I combined skills in virology and epidemiology, to be able to study FMD at laboratory and field level. I achieve the well-defined goals by five principals: determination; self- motivation; responsibilities; communication (verbal/no-verbal/written); enthusiasm, in managing and analyzing Epidemiological information. Following my growing interest in quantitative methods in animal health, I finished a Phd. at the University of Selcuk focused in epidemiology and infectious disease modeling.
My professional experiences in veterinary public health and educational background in epidemiology have strengthened my passions of working with researchers in One Health approach. I have experience of working with governmental organization and NGOs at national, regional and international level.
More recently, I started using package of “R” to work, which has brought my attention due its current international interest and suitability to the understanding of Animal Health Strategies
