I am a trained as a veterinary (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mekelle University, Ethiopia) and Animal Scientist (Wageningen University & Research, Netherlands) acquainted with the application of quantitative methods in animal health studies, Animal Disease diagnosis, Animal Genomics and sustainability in livestock production, particularly in small-holder settings. Next to that, I am also conversant with system analysis in livestock production, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point, Infectious disease transmission modelling, Analysis of animal breeding data and basic Phenotypic and Molecular, and bioinformatic analysis of biological samples from farm animals. Furthermore, I have over 7 years of working experience as a junior research and as an animal health and production professional in academia and at International organizations working in animal health and production.
