Project Summary

I have completed my M.Sc. dissertation on the project entitled “Immunoglobulin Interface Redesigning to Enhance Lebrikizumab Mediated Immunomodulation of IL-13 Hyper-response” under the supervision of Dr. Vijay Kumar Prajapati assistant professor, laboratory of infectious diseases, in the Department of Biochemistry at Central University of Rajasthan, India. In this project we have to tried to find out some advantageous mutations which can increase the affinity of the antibody against their particular target. Also the work has been done on how diagnostic antibodies are used as therapeutic antibodies by SDR grafting to human antibodies (Humanization). I offer a summary of my undergraduate degree thesis, it was my first extended research experience under the guidance of same (above). The project was focused on the designing of a multi-epitope subunit vaccine against Epstein-Barr virus-mediated malignancy. I pioneered most of the computational techniques of vaccine designing. I also want to emphasise that my interest of research in the field of diabetes, a project under the supervision of Prof. M. Balasubramanyam, Dean of Research Studies & Senior Scientist, Madras Diabetes Research Foundation, Chennai, India. My project was on the “Importance of Exosomes in Metabolic Disorder with special reference to Diabetes”. In which I was explored to the experiments that how healthy Exosomes are beneficial to the diabetic patients.

Techniques Expertise

RNA and DNA isolation, SDS PAGE, Western Blotting,  PCR,  Bacterial culture, Tissue Culture, Wound Healing Assay, Microscopy, Primer Designing, PBMC Isolation, Chromatography (Paper, Column), Spectrometry,  ELISA and other basic Immunological techniques, Enzymatic Assay and Basic rDNA techniques. Computational techniques of vaccine designing including epitope sorting, homology modelling, molecular docking (ClusPro, Zdock, Rosetta, and Glide) and Molecular Dynamic Simulation (Gromacs and Desmond).

Research Interest

The signalling of pathogenesis and immunological mechanism behind the infectious diseases. Vaccine development against infectious diseases. To investigate the signalling of different cellular proteins as utilize them as therapeutic targets.
