Biography

Abiodun Fatoba's background in Applied Biology gave him cross fertilization of exposure to different areas of biology where he developed interest in genetics of animal diseases. His postgraduate training in Genetics solidified his interest in genetics of infectious diseases especially those of economic importance. He had his PhD in Eimeria genetics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal South Africa and currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the same university in Dr Matthew Adeleke's Lab. Abiodun Fatoba is a recipient of different scholarship awards such as the National Research Foundation of South Africa and World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (African Foundation). 

Research interests

My research interest cut across GWAS of important traits in livestock, Genetics and Genomics of Apicomplexan parasite and the design of vaccine against infectious diseases.
