I am a veterinarian and poultry specialist. I have got my PhD in poultry vaccinology and adjuvants form the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville under the supervision of Professor Billy M. Hargis. Now, I am a faculty member at the Middle Tech University, Baghdad, IRAQ. Currently my lab deals with seeking next generation vaccine adjuvants including DNA-based aptamer adjuvants and exosomes-based adjuvants.
My team is currently working on developing adjuvants to several pathogens including bacterial pathogens. Recently, we have tested DNA aptamers, in form of rolling circle amplification products, that are capable of reducing the bacterial growth in vitro. We are attempting now to develop a vaccine from locally isolated Newcastle virus strain.
1) Newcastle virus local strain vaccine developing
2) Local chicken breed immune cells development and signaling
3) Unconventional methods for vaccine delivery
