Ambily Balakrishnan is a first-year doctoral student working under the supervision of Dr Preetham Elumalai. Her research mainly focuses on Anti-Microbial Resistance and various methodologies to overcome it. She also had designed and conducted an observational study on the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on antimicrobial stewardship practices at tertiary care health care facility. Her research has a multidisciplinary approach incorporating a successful strategy to prevent infectious diseases. She holds a master’s degree in Biotechnology and also has done projects in premier institutes like Regional Cancer Centre, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences.
Ambily is also working as a Lecturer in Cell Biology, Genetics & Molecular biology. She is conducting both online and offline classes for master’s students in one of the prestigious universities.
