I am a fish veterinarian with deep knowledge and 27 years of experience on applied research and technology transfer in European aquaculture industry with special focus on technology transfer and testing of innovative fish health management strategies and novel vaccine development. I am founder and Director of AQUARK (WWW.AQUARK.EU) and AQUATRECK (WWW.AQUATRECK.COM)
Recent funded projects: TARGETFISH (2012-2017): Large collaborative project funded by the EC. As WP Leader, I was responsible for field trials of novel vaccines and testing of novel vaccination machines. Research focus on field testing and design of effective vaccination strategies and delivery protocols. PARAFISHCONTROL (2015-2020): contribution to the development and implementation of the dissemination strategy to ensure seamless innovation and technology transfer to industrial pharmaceutical and fish farming stakeholders. AQUARK will also assist in the epidemiological analysis of specific parasites and the field testing of solutions and strategies relevant to the Mediterranean mariculture industry. COLUMBUS (2015 – 2018):AQUARK is Competence Node Leader for Aquaculture.
