Biography

I'm a veterinary doctor with a PhD in veterinary parasitology. My PhD project was to develop an in vitro  blood feeding system to infect ticks with Theileria parasites.

I have done two postdocs during which I worked on Theileria annulata (Gordon Langsley's lab) and the hepatic stage of Plasmodium sp parasites (Dominique Mazier's lab).

Research interests

Host-pathogen interactions in the context of Theileria annulata infection

Attenuation of Theileria annulata-transformed macrophages

Projects you're working on

I'm working on mechanisms of attenuation of Theileria annulata-transformed macrophages used as live vaccine to control tropical theileriosis.

I'm also characterising secreted Theileria annualata proteins and study their contribution to phenotypic changes of the host cell.
