David Lazarus is a research veterinarian at the Infectious and Transboundary Animal Diseases, National Veterinary Research Institute, Vom Nigeria. He qualified with a DVM degree from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria and obtained MSc (Veterinary Science) and PhD from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
His research focuses on the control of Foot-and-Mouth and Similar Transboundary (FAST) Animal Diseases and evaluation of vaccines.
He is also a founding member of the African Vaccinology Network (AfVANET)
