Daniel Mansur

Dr
Daniel
Mansur

Associate professor
Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina
Biography

Mansur’s laboratory focuses in the interaction between virus infections and innate immunity, specifically how viruses are recognised by the mammalian cell and respond to it at an intracellular level. Among other findings in this area, Daniel has defined DNA-PKcs as a DNA sensor that triggers an IRF3 mediated response in mammalian cells. Daniel’s lab is also interested in vaccine development having secured national and international grants to develop Dengue vaccines. His lab is also interested in developing veterinary vaccines.
