I am a microbiology graduate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU, 1979), Zaria Nigeria. I also hold a master’s (1985) and doctoral (2000) degrees in Medical Microbiology from ABU, Zaria, Nigeria. I have also undertaken several short-term courses and conferences within and outside the country to improve my professional and administrative skills.
I joined the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) Vom, Nigeria as a Research Officer in 1980, and over the past 35 years I have risen through the ranks of various Research Officer positions to the present position of Director. As a researcher, I currently have to my credit at least 45 published research papers in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals..My teaching experiences include Sabbatical Leave at Kogi State University (KSU), Nigeria (2008-2009) and Visiting Reader or Associate Professor appointment to two Nigerian universities namely KSU andPlateau State University (PLASU) (2009 – 2016), and as external examiner to tertiary institutions.
