My research interests focus on metabolic engineering of yeast to develop strains that produce fuel ethanol, as well as vitamin B2 and its derivatives. I explore the mechanisms involved in autophagic degradation of cytosolic proteins using yeast models. Additionally, I am engaged in the development of yeast-based oral vaccines for veterinary applications.
