Biography
I am veterinary research officer with over 4 years of working experience as laboratory staff in foot and mouth disease laboratory of National Veterinary Research Institute Vom, Nigeria. While working as a research officer at National Veterinary Research Institute Vom, I have been involved in various research projects involving trans boundary animal disease, post vaccination monitoring and zoonotic diseases in collaboration with USDA, University of Glasgow, EuFMD. I have experience in conducting clinical trials, epidemiological studies and post vaccination monitoring studies. Currently I am working on the evaluation of foot and mouth disease vaccine in cattle in Nigeria as my postgraduate research projects at university of Abuja Nigeria.
Research interests
My research interests include collaborative projects aimed at improving the quality of livestock vaccines in Africa and reducing the burden of zoonotic and trans boundary animal diseases. I also look forward volunteer opportunities for an organizations that utilize multi displinary sectors towards addressing impact of zoonotic and transboundary animal diseases on local communities in Africa.
Projects you're working on
Currently participating in the Global Partnership for Animal and Zoonotic Diseases Project (GPAZDS) in collaboration with USDA and National Veterinary Research Institute Vom where I assist in field data collection, laboratory analysis. I am also involved in Integrated Bite Case Management (IBCM), a project of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in collaboration with University of Glasgow, where I assist in investigation of cases of dog bites. Moreover, I am currently evaluating the foot and mouth disease vaccine in cattle in Nigeria as my postgraduate research projects in University of Abuja Nigeria.
