Biography
Suwipa Ramphan holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering from the Institute of Molecular Biosciences, Mahidol University. Her research focused on Zika and dengue viruses, with notable contributions including publications on strain variation in miRNA response and the production of Zika virus-like particles.
Suwipa has a strong foundation in biotechnology (B.Sc.) and molecular genetics (M.Sc. and Ph.D.). Currently, Suwipa works in the Virology and Cell Technology Research Team. Her research focuses on the generation of PEDV-based viral vectors (under the advisory of Dr. Suttipun Sungsuwan) and the study of potential zoonosis (under the advisory of Dr. Samaporn Teeravechyan). Suwipa's interests span applied science in the field of vaccine development, such as VLP-based vaccines, and basic research topics such as biological functions and host-virus interactions.
