Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Jos, Plateau State Nigeria. I obtained my DVM, MSc and PhD Degrees at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State Nigeria, in Food Animal Medicine Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (2006, 2012 and 2018 respectively), where I studied antimicrobial activity of Mitrocarpus scaber on Candida albicans and Trichophyton mentagophytis, relapse of single and mixed infections of Trypanosoma congolense and Trypanosoma brucei and the effect of natural fermenters on growth, haematology and Escherichia coli infection control.
I am a member of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) and The Public health and Parasitology society of Nigeria (PHPSN). I have a long-term interest in understanding immunomodulatory and antimicrobial activity of Nigerian local plant extracts on helminths of Veterinary importance.
