I am a Research Scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-Animal Research Institute, specializing in genome editing and gene function studies with a focus on infectious disease and vaccine research. My immediate goals include understanding the genetic basis of resistance and susceptibility to tick and tick -borne diseases in cattle, designing and developing attenuated, or multi-epitope vaccines, and production of malaria vaccines. My aim is to develop innovative solutions for disease prevention and control in both animals and humans. As a young career scientist, I am committed to developing and building sustainable international relationships aimed at improving the expertise needed to combat infectious diseases on the African continent
