Biography
I am Irfan Gul, a researcher specializing in the fields of Virology, Vaccinology, and Computational Biology, residing in Jammu and Kashmir, India. Holding a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Kashmir, I embarked on my research journey with a fervent passion for combating infectious diseases. During my Ph.D. tenure, I was honored with a Junior Research Fellowship and subsequently a Senior Research Fellowship by the prestigious Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), acknowledging my dedication to scientific inquiry. Additionally, I have demonstrated my academic prowess by clearing national-level examinations, including the CSIR-UGC-NET/JRF and the Jammu & Kashmir State Eligibility Test (SET) in Life Science. Currently, as an outgoing Ph.D. student at SKUAST-K, my research endeavors have primarily revolved around the development of safe vaccines for poultry viruses, with a specific focus on combating Infectious bursal disease virus and avian coronavirus. Through my interdisciplinary approach and commitment to scientific advancement, I aspire to contribute significantly to the field of infectious disease research and vaccine development. As an outgoing PhD student at SKUAST-K, I am deeply committed to advancing our understanding of poultry viruses and contributing to the development of safe vaccines to safeguard poultry health.
