Biography
Assoc. Prof. Ngo Thì Hoa is head of zoonosis group at Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU), The organisation is affiliated with The Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford. Hoa also leads the Parasitology and Microbiology research unit, the Bio- Medical Research Center of Pham Ngọc Thạch University of Medicine (PNTU). Both OUCRU and PNTu are located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Research projects of the zoonoses group aim to understand the prevalence of zoonotic bacterial pathogens and their pathogenicity in both animals and in- contact humans; and alternatives to antibiotic use on farms. These bacteria include the Antimicrobial resistant bacteria originated from animals and their surrounding environments such as S. suis, Salmonellae spp. and colistin resistance E. coli, Research interests
