With a strong foundation in molecular biology, virology, and bacteriology, she is passionate about exploring the intricate mechanisms underlying aquatic animal health. The research is mainly focused on identification of vaccine candidates and development of a vaccine against streptococcal infection in aquaculture which will be effective against the immune evasion mechanism of the pathogen. Along with research she is involved in training graduate students in laboratory techniques and has served as resource person in several training programmes in Aquatic animal Health at the laboratory.
