Biography
Mpho Muthevhuli is a researcher at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa, specializing in biotechnology and molecular biology. His work focuses on developing mRNA vaccines for animal diseases, using advanced bioinformatics and immunoinformatics tools to design and optimize vaccine constructs. Mpho has contributed to the development of diagnostic assays for diseases in aquaculture, as well as diagnostics for animal diseases like Bovine Brucellosis. He is also involved in creating lab-on-chip diagnostic tools for point-of-care applications. Through collaborations with institutions such as Wits University and nano-micro manufacturing facilities Mpho is advancing molecular diagnostics and vaccine technologies to improve animal health and food security. He is currently pursuing a PhD focused on these innovative solutions.

Bioinformatics and Immunoinformatics: Utilizing computational tools to predict epitopes, optimize vaccine constructs, and improve diagnostic assay designs. Vaccine Delivery Systems: Exploring lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and other delivery mechanisms to enhance the effectiveness and stability of vaccines.
