Biography
Dr. Hui-Wen Chen, a Professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at National Taiwan University (NTU), is deeply engaged in research on infectious diseases. Her primary research interests encompass virology, immunology, and epidemiology. As the head of the Lab of Infection and Immunity, Dr. Chen leads several research projects aimed at developing effective vaccines for viral pathogens, utilizing animal models such as mice and chickens to evaluate vaccine efficacy. Her team is also pioneering innovative strategies to combat antiviral resistance by targeting host factors. In addition, Dr. Chen is establishing platforms to identify human and animal viral pathogens and to explore virus-host interactions. Recently appointed as Director of NTU's Animal Resource Center, she now leads the laboratory animal technology team, providing research support for NTU's biomedical researchers. Research interests
