Olukayode (Kay) is a Veterinary Lecturer in One Health. Kay is a veterinarian with an interest in global health, infectious diseases, molecular parasitology, bioinformatics, and evolutionary biology. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and a Master of Veterinary Medicine in Companion Animal Medicine (MVM) from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria in 2012 and 2016 respectively. He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Molecular Genetics and Diagnostics from the University of Nottingham in 2016, where he investigated Polygenic Risk Score Analysis of Developing Alzheimer's disease using GWAS dataset. Kay is passionate about teaching, research, and data analysis and is always keen to collaborate. He is interested in understanding the epidemiology, molecular, and evolutionary basis of infectious diseases and zoonotic parasites, aiming to find sustainable control measures within the scope of drugs, vaccines, and development of diagnostic tools. Kay is keen to work in the Global Health and One Health space to promote collaboration around early disease detection, control, and prevention, particularly in neglected communities, the global south, and tropical regions. Kay is open to discussing research ideas and exploring working together with researchers globally. Research interests
