Biography
Dr. Silas Fagbenro is a dedicated researcher and specialises in reproductive, developmental, and teratogenic toxicology. He has a strong focus on the impacts of environmental toxicants on biological systems. He has significantly contributed to understanding pathogen-mediated placental invasion, pregnancy outcomes, and immunogenetic responses to environmental stressors through his expertise in molecular toxicology, microbiology, and genetic analysis.
Currently, he is actively engaged in translational research aimed at addressing key health challenges in Africa, particularly in the areas of infectious diseases and environmental health. As an aspiring member of the International Veterinary Vaccinology Network, he seeks to contribute expertise in toxicology and microbiology to enhance vaccine development strategies for zoonotic and veterinary diseases.
