Catherine Charreyre is a researcher and veterinarian from Lyon, France that has been Project & Technical Leader for large animal (swine) Biological products in Merial* R&D for more than 15 years. Her experience includes 8 years spent in the US, first as post-graduate researcher in Davis, CA and Virginia Tech, then with Merial in Atlanta, GA, from 2002 to 2007.
As associate director and responsible of worldwide projects, she has led the Merial teams responsible for obtaining 2 US licenses for swine products, and 3 European licenses for cattle and swine, including Ibraxion for Cattle and the PCV2 vaccine Circovac® for sows. She has recently finalized the licensing of Circovac® piglet in China. Her experience includes vaccines for cats, cattle including FMDV, and horses as well as swine.
She has been heavily involved with numerous Development and Research projects with external partners worldwide, especially in Europe, the US and Asia. She has been assistant-Coordinator to the European Consortiums on PMWS/PCV2 as Merial representative for almost 10 years.
C. Charreyre has represented Merial, Merial products and the swine teams in numerous occasions. She is elected representative of the Research Group in SIMV (The French association of animal health industry).
She is now more involved on upstream Research and Innovation and a Program Leader for Emerging Diseases threatening Europe, including PPR and LSD.
