Biography
Veterinarian by background, Olivier Kambere Kavulikirwa is doing a PhD in Global Health at the University of Montreal, Canada and has a Specialized Master in One Health from the University of Liège, Belgium, as well as a professional certificate in Sustainable Health and innovation management from the Karolinska Institute, Sweden.
Since 2015, Olivier has served for research and teaching at the Catholic University of Graben in Butembo, where he graduated as a veterinarian. Kavulikirwa is experienced in working with international organizations and is involved in endeavours in collaboration with WHO, FAO, UNEP, and WOAH quadripartite. Furthermore, Olivier is experienced in outbreak management - he has been strongly involved in the response to the longest and most complex Ebola outbreak response in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. His expertise covers One Health and systems thinking as ways to tackle complex health issues. Also, he is skilled in sustainable Health, health policies and programmes evaluation and implementation science, searching practicalities to address bottlenecks to Global Health initiatives.
