My name is Güven Edgü, I have studied Molecular and Cell Biology, Genetics and Molecular Biotechnology as my major subjects at the RWTH Aachen University and successfully finalized my diploma degree with the thesis "Production of recombinant Plasmodium falciparum MSP1-19 variants in Nicotiana benthamiana for evaluation as vaccine candidates".
Following, I have completed my PhD thesis entitled "Malaria Immunoassemblins – A novel combinatorial vaccine approach against Plasmodium falciparum based on highly improved Fc-fusion proteins" at the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology IME, Aachen in the malaria vaccine project “Innovative technologies to manufacture ground-breaking biopharmaceutical products in microbes and plants” funded by the Fraunhofer Future Foundation.
Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Functional and Applied Genomics of the Fraunhofer IME, Aachen.
