Biography

Wilson is a Veterinarian who is currently working at the School of Biosecurity, Biotechnical and laboratory Sciences (SBLS), College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity, Makerere University as a Research Associate.

He has been involved in projects that carry out surveillance of vector-borne livestock diseases (Trypanosomiasis and Tick-borne diseases) in the endemic regions of Uganda.

He is currently studying the Major Histocompatibility complex (MHC) diversity in indigenous Ugandan cattle breeds.

Wilson holds a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine of Makerere University and a Masters in International Animal Health (IAH) of The University of Edinburgh, UK.

Research interests

Studying the diversity of Major Histocompatibility complex(MHC)in livestock to help form associations with a range of applications such as vaccine development.
