Biography
Augustus Marco Lorenzo was born on August 12, 1991, in Davao City, Philippines. During his childhood and also from family and relative background, he displayed a keen interest in animals and animal's health, observing animal's treatment in Veterinary Clinic when visiting them for his own pet check ups. This curiosity and interest paved a way for his future endeavors.
After earning his degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from De La Salle Araneta University in 2013, Marco decided to join Biologics department, a Veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturer, Research and Development under the flagship company of East Asia Laboratories Inc., as a Production Specialist.
Along with a Vietnamese scientist as the head of the division, Marco learned extensively in laboratory procedures, isolation work and other processes.
In 2018, after the passing of his late head of the department, Marco continue his work and apply all his learnings.
In 2022, Marco got promoted to Production Supervisor and manage to run the vaccine production while collaborating with the consultant. Together they started a full production, focusing to the production of the vaccine product.
In 2024, Marco got the position of Biologics Manager continuing the work up to present.
Marco currently resides in San Mateo, Rizal Philippines, a 3 minute walk from his workplace. In his free time, he loves catching up with his friends over a cup of coffee, reminiscing past experiences in work and schools. Research interests
Our goal is to isolate and develop a vaccine for different Pasteurella multocida five capsular serogroups (A, B, D, E and F). We plan to use conventional isolation through biochemical characterization and other seroligical test for identification of the organisms and do farm experiments to validate the research trial.
