Biography
My work focuses on the development of novel subunit vaccine candidates against M.bovis and M.tuberculosis. I conducted a number of projects to identify promising mycobacterial antigens and tested multiple delivery platforms in mice, to identify the optimal combination for an effective immune response. I have an interest in the respiratory mucosal administration and the induction of lung responses with vaccination. I have also been involved in several projects aimed to understand immune mechanisms behind disease such as the role of nitric oxide, iron and hypoxia. Research interests
Antigen discovery, viral vectors, protein-adjuvants, RNA platforms, mucosal delivery, immune response characterisation, efficacy testing Projects you're working on
Testing the immunogenic and protective potential of previously identified mycobacterial antigens, testing of these antigens in different delivery platforms such as RNA, viral vectors and protein adjuvants. Discipline
