Biography
John is an expert on host-adapted bacterial pathogens, with a specific focus on two major areas: 1) understanding how bacterial pathogens randomly and reversibly switch gene expression, and how we can leverage this knowledge to direct and inform the development of better vaccines; and 2) understanding bacterial:host interactions at the molecular level in order to design new ways to treat infections
