Biography
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manakorn Sukmak is a lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kasetsart University, Thailand. He serves as the Director of Kamphaeng Saen Veterinary Diagnostic Center (KVDC) at Kasetsart University and is a Guest Professor at Rakuno Gakuen University, Japan.
Dr. Sukmak received his D.V.M. from Kasetsart University, and went on to earn an M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Biotechnology from the same institution. His major fields of study include agricultural biotechnology, molecular ecology, molecular diagnosis, molecular epidemiology, vaccine development, and POCT development.
Dr. Sukmak's research focuses on:
1. Molecular epidemiology and phylodynamics of emerging and re-emerging animal diseases
2. LFA and biosensor development for animal disease diagnostics
3. mRNA vaccine development in animals
He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, with research spanning topics such as PCV vaccines, molecular detection of viruses and parasites, and more.
Dr. Sukmak's work aims to advance veterinary diagnostics, epidemiology, conservation, and animal health through the application of cutting-edge molecular techniques. He collaborates with researchers both in Thailand and internationally. Research interests
