Biography

Dr. Muhammad Suleman is working as an Assistant Professor at University Diagnostic Lab (UDL), Institute of Microbiology, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. He obtained his DVM from UVAS and was awarded two "Gold medals" for being Best-graduate of his session. He obtained his Doctorate (Microbiology-Virology) from University of Paris, France with distinction. He is HEC-approved supervisor for mentoring postgraduate research work. He has published >21 international research articles with cumulative impact factor of 97.5, 559 citations and ih-index of 13. Dr. Suleman has published in Science Translational Medicine (IF= 17.9) and many leading international journals like Frontiers of Immunology (IF=7.5), Frontiers cellular and infection microbiology (IF= 5.2), Pathogens (IF= 3.4), Vaccine (IF= 3.6), Veterinary Microbiology, Infection and Immunity, Virus research, Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, Journal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation and many others peer reviewed international journals. He has won multiple awards and international research grants worth more than $350,000 (PKR 58 million) and successfully completed over 25 research projects during his career. Dr. Suleman has recently won international collaborative funding on COVID-19 immune responses and published data in a high impact factor (7.561) research publication in Frontiers in Immunology.  Dr. Suleman is a pioneer in establishing state-of-the-art “Flow Cytometry” technique in UVAS for evaluation of cell-mediated immune responses in vaccine studies. He has strong national and international research collaborations with scientists in world ranking institutes.
