Biography
I have been serving as a veterinarian at the Pendik Veterinary Control Institute since 2011, starting my career in the CApripoxvirus reference diagnosis laboratory. Until 2014, I focused on molecular diagnosis, cell culture isolation, and the molecular analysis of various viral animal diseases. Since then, I have been assigned to the Viral Vaccine Production Laboratory, and for the past six years, I have led this team as the laboratory chief. I hold a Ph.D. in veterinary virology and have contributed to the development of sheep and goat pox vaccines, as well as Parapoxvirus Ovis vaccines. My expertise extends to diagnostic and production efforts related to these diseases. Additionally, I have participated in R&D projects to expand my knowledge. My experience includes vaccine development for Bovine Rotavirus and Coronavirus. During the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, I took part in one of the vaccine development teams in Turkey, conducting serological studies for inactivated vaccine projects. Currently, I also serve as a technical expert on the Veterinary Immunological Products Commission of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey. Moreover, I act as a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) auditor, overseeing the inspection of veterinary immunological and pharmaceutical product facilities. Throughout my career, I have accumulated extensive experience in the fields mentioned above.
