Avian Research Symposium 2024
About the Event
This symposium will showcase current research in all fields of avian biology and exciting developments in the use of avians as model systems. We will have a combination of short talks and keynote presentations, with opportunities to meet the speakers in dedicated discussion sessions.
We invite students, support staff, and researchers at all career stages to present on a broad range of topics concerning avian biology and use of avian model systems. We particularly encourage abstract submissions from students and early career researchers.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Developmental biology
- Infectious diseases and immunology
- Genetics, genomics, and biotechnology
- Ecology, evolution, and epidemiology
- Behaviour, physiology, avian welfare, and husbandry
The Avian Research Symposium 2024 will be a free online event, held on three consecutive afternoons, on April 29th, 30th, and May 1st 2024. We hope that you will attend as much of the symposium as possible and join in discussions with our speakers.
Any questions please contact the organising committee (ARS [at] roslin [dot] ed [dot] ac [dot] uk).
